We rose early to see the famous sunrise on HuangShan. As you can see, I got a bit bored by that and found this scene more interesting.

I went to HuangShan (aka Yellow Mountains) over the long weekend and want to show you this panoramic image of the canyon. HuangShan is a few hours away from Shanghai by train and is known not for its heights but the beautiful scenery. The weather was nice and I saw the bluest sky I had ever seen in China in the past 16 months. It was a good hiking trip. Learn more about HuangShan Mountains in this wiki link.

Not exactly a photo about Kunming the city (in Western China’s Yunnan province), or the tea leaves well known in that area. In this photo you see part of the desserts ordered by a group of very stressed business travellers — 3 orders each of the 8 kinds of desserts on the menu, there were a total of 7 of us.

Well, I’m sure the bride of Nanjing in the last post is atypical, these ones seem to be the typical ones (and the grooms too). I took this photo just a few minutes before I saw the atypical bride

Spring is here, love is in the air, the dancing girl unleashed, the photographer in action…and I don’t know what to say about this bride. This is a scene I saw in Nanjing yesterday. It was a long weekend in China and we had spent a day walking around in Nanjing which is two hours from Shanghai by train.

Sunset on West Lake, HangZhou. I took this photo back in November 2007 and I have to tell you I love HangZhou. It’s just 80 minutes on train from Shanghai and since I’ve found it last October, I’d been there 3 times in 6 weeks until winter came. Simply love to be away from skyscrapers and love the fresh air there.
