Looking up to the hill on the eastern side of HK island I saw this dome shaped structure…I have no idea what it is…

As a wild guess, could it be some kind of observatory. There roof structure usually has striking similaritys to domes.
December 11th, 2007, at 3:17 am #They are Wireless Transmitting Stations. Just hike all the way up to Mountain Parker from Quarry Bay Municipal Building, and you can view them from a close distance. That will only take you an hour and a half.
