A beautiful flower tree on Caine Road. I have searched on the net but found no information on what it is called, so…it’s a beautiful flower tree…

The meaning of “recess” from a dictionary — a suspension of business or procedure often for rest or relaxation, eg, children playing at recess.
Actually, it simply means “FREEDOM” to me![]()

I’ll make this the last of the “shot-from-the-dirty-window-of-bus” series
Just a random shot with a student walking past a no-smoking publicity poster and a little toy shop on the street.

Here’s another photo I took from a bus, an ordinary street corner with a newspaper stand, one of the many real estate shops in HK, people rushing by and a local citizen pondering life?…or maybe he was just lost

It had rained pretty much non-stop while I was in HK two weeks ago and here’s a scene of Wanchai in the rain. Coincidentally, we also just had a huge thunderstorm here in Shanghai

I was staying at a vacant apartment of my friend’s in the east side of the Hong Kong island which I have rarely shown. Here’s the view at night after a heavy downpour and the “wall” of apartment buildings are a compound called Taikoo Shing, have a look of this wiki page if you want to read on it

This is a photo I took at an exhibition at the Pacific Place, a shopping mall in Queensway. This exhibition was organised by an advertising association in HK and highligted its many achievements, this sign here says “Polishing the brand”, hence claiming credits for building lots of well known brands of local businesses. But do you still believe in advertising these days?:-)

This is a little gift to Ham (of London Daily Photo) who helped rescue Hong Kong, one photo a day from the abyss of cyberspace :-). This photo is from my archive and was taken a while ago at the Hong Kong Flower Show. Ham has an interesting series of photos on “elephants in London” so here’s Hong Kong’s answer to it. Check out LDP’s latest entry (#17) in the elephant series here or have a look of my favorite in the series here.

After a lot of panic, stress, worries, trials and errors, blood and tears (almost) I have finally managed to revive this blog with the help of Ham (of London Daily Photo). What happened was I upgraded Wordpress from 2.1 to 2.2 and nothing worked afterwards, all the 400+ posts and comments were gone; and for the first time, I missed post and I missed for a whole week. But hey, now I’m back.
This is a photo I took a few days ago in Hong Kong while enjoying a cup of milk tea and this little girl gave me the look I so wanted to give to Wordpress 2.2.
UPDATE: all missing posts (June 8 to 15) are missing no more :-), please have a look.
I will fill in the missing posts tomorrow so please drop by and check them.My sincere thanks to all those who had written and are so concerned about Hong Kong, one photo a day. And once again, thanks to Ham and Denton.
