Guess where I took/sneaked this bluish photo? Naaayyyy, that’s easy, isn’t it? Well, how about guess where I was heading when I took this photo?
Happy weekend everybody!
P.S. Well, I think I should update my visitors of what’s going on with me in Shanghai. The past two months had been very hectic. I had travelled back and forth HK and Shanghai three times, not having a lot of real weekends. I’ve been busy, work is ok and challenging as expected so it isn’t too bad. Shanghai is a nice city, but not the drivers. Just yesterday I almost got hit by a big bus left-turning while it was green light for pedestrians. It was crazy and made me angry. There are many other things in daily life that make me think: What the hxxx am I doing here? Shanghai is modern, fancy, it glitters and sparkles but in those fancy cyber-look commercial buildings, people wouldn’t even press the “open” button even if they stand right next to it in elevator, instead they entertain themselves by betting on who would get crammed by the automatic elevator doors.
Enough venting today

March 25th, 2007, at 12:04 am #My guess is you were headed to or from the airport for one of your trips to Shanghai.
March 25th, 2007, at 1:50 am #Airport Express (HK)?
March 25th, 2007, at 8:10 am #Can’t forget that distinctive fire extinguisher on the HK airport express. Venting is good; but don’t let them get to you!
March 25th, 2007, at 12:02 pm #I just came back from Hong Kong and China a week ago. I couldn’t believe how rude those drivers were. It seemed they deliberately tried to run over pedestrians as a sport…. it didn’t matter if there was a crosswalk or not. Drivers in China were the worst. Macau drivers were a little more subdue. Also, the mainland Chinese people had absolutely no manner at all. They cared less if the elevator was full to the capacitiy, they just kept coming in. “Excuse me!” was a phase that was NEVER heard in China. ….they just pushed they way through.
Getting help on the street in China was impossible, NOT EVEN FROM THE POLICE . Even when I asked for direction, people looked at me as I was insane. Hong Kong was a little better. I could find one out of 5 people who was helpful.
Overall, our 3 week trip was pleasant, but the local people could be a lot more courteous.
