Worship

garden

I saw these ladies burning paper money, incense sticks and other worship stuff on a street in Sheung Wan this afternoon. Not sure but I don’t think it’s a festival or birthday of a god today so probably it’s a family memorial day. They were so focused on what they are doing and didn’t notice me taking photos across the narrow street.

p.s. Major change to Hong Kong, one photo a day to take place, click here for information.

Very nice, with the color of the flame only. I see they have a bucket (of water?) handy in case the blaze gets out of control. This is something I’ve never seen, the worship of ancestors, though of course I’ve heard about it.

I;m so happy I got it today. This is a great shot sista. I like how it’s split in the middle by the beam.

Perhaps the man in the back of the shop noticed.

Ben was showing me how with his software he can darken certain areas of the photo and I was just saying, “Just like Lisi does!”, to which he had an lengthy explanation about the difference of what he was doing and what you do - here - take out the hues from most of the photo. You know, Sweetheart, I’m already missing you. I feel terrible.
