“Half our life is spent trying to find something to do with the time we have rushed through life trying to save” Will Rogers (American entertainer, 1879-1935)Central City lifeThis shot was taken in the new Star Ferry Central pier and everyone seemed to be in a hurry to unboard.
This is again a copycat photo…the original was posted in March 2006 and I’ve always wanted to do a similar one in HK…it wouldn’t be the same without the quote so I copied the commentary as well. To see the inspiring original click here.
j’aime beaucoup cette photo, son mouvement, le choix du b&w.

With the incline of the gangway, I think that your photo has more frantic energy that the inspiring original. I think the composition within the fore and middleground is great. I think that the treatment of the background great! Combined, I think that this picture is a great picture and I love it! Lisi, this picture is you: it is not a copycat! It may be in the same genre, but your photograph stands as itself.
December 2nd, 2006, at 10:43 pm #You really did this shot justice Lisi…fantastic! LOVE it in B&W….just makes it! And WHOA! Just saw your comment….don’t make me a Gramma YET! WAAAAAAAAAAAAH! LOL And by the way, he’s only just about 10 (on the 21st) but I think he’s gonna be tall like his brothers…so instead of being a Gramma I’ll be a SHRIMP! LOL!

December 3rd, 2006, at 11:03 am #Its very generous of you to give credit to Bob, but your photograph does stand its own ground in composition graphical balance, energy and dynamics.
Very, very well done!
December 3rd, 2006, at 5:29 pm #Hi all, thanks so much for the encouragement. No doubt Bob has been my inspiration, there are angles and compositions that I would never have thought of but I learnt from his photos.
