I read that when rickshaw men retire, their licenses cease and no new ones issued. Very sad. The govenment ought to encourage revival of this industry. How about turning the rickshaws into entertainment rides. For short rides along TST waterfront, or short rides along moderately inclined scenic roads in Victoria Park, or Kowloon Park... Great too for a short romantic ride in the evening. These vehicles will add interest to the cityscape and provide that critical income for some people. Just kidding!
