oh, Lisi, That what we discussed lots recently here. It seems that no safe food left for us to eat here: fish, eggs, veges...everything is polluted. So whats the main reason for this?? I think in the mainland we need to build another moral standards inside of each person. Faster economic development in the mainland, but slower education development. Peopl now realize the important of the coin, but they lose part of the primary morals inside. It is a serious problem here. Oh, I really hope the government could put more efforts on education, not only on economy.

anyway, for weekend, i should stop complaining.. have a nice weekend.

Lisi, half of the reason for my next visit to HK will be to sample the fine food - especially seafood; almost the other half will be to pay homage to my favorite st.....- eh,never mind. Anyway, if things don't improve, we may have to stick to noodles?! How about Char Kuey Teow? We can always get healthy organic products like eggs and veggies from G&G at Herbo Land. :-)
Btw, aside from minor kinks here and there, this site is looking fabulous. Last btw, I downloaded Google's Picasa - a great program; may re-do cloisters. :-) Good weekend!

You raise two huge issues there, with the relationships with the mainland and the quality of food. Frightening ! And something I wasn't aware of at all.
You do it with a spectacular photo.

Hi, I have come to visit your blog all the time, I never leave a comment. Lisi the picture you take is very great.
I live in New York and there are lots of food are imported from China. The price is very cheap but not many people want to purchase. I heard that the dry shrimp has colored in red to make it looks delicious. Even the red bean. it is a shame to hear that.

Hi Lisi, we have some similar problems here and because of that organic foods have become very popular. Many of our grocery stores have an organic fruit and vegetable section in addition to the "regular" kind. Once organic catches on in HK, HerboLand will be rich!

Jazzy, the magic of autopilot of this blogging platform :-)

Jing, my friend's analogy is: China is a kid growing so fast in size that he knocks things over in the house...

AlmondCakes, yes I think I heard it was from China a few years ago

Michelle and walter...as you know there are many other choices of good food in HK...will you still visit HKDP when you're in HK...haha, I doubt it :-)

and walter, if you have the time, please let me know what those kinks are, would like to fix them...and have fun with Picasa :-)

min, what is xiao-qiang?? my putonghua is very soso...but I bet hotels in bigger Chinese cities should be no problem as far as my experience tells me...

maple, welcome and thank you! Dried shrimp I've heard of but since it didn't cause any alarm, they might be using safe addictives but red bean??

Felicia, actually organic foods are quite common here even in general supermarkets, but since they are usually more expensive they are not always what people choose.

haha, Zsolt, thanks and if we see Jing then we know the firewall hasn't got me yet, we'll see...

Thanks everybody and have a nice Sunday (or week)!

Yes, I will still visit HKDP when I'm in HK; no doubt on my part! :-)
Three kinks: 1) "Post a Comment" - boxes not i.d.'d; can only tell by mouse pointer over icons. 2)"Asia/ Pacific" Links-Melbourne and Seoul repeated twice;3) "About Me" - Your photo does not appear (maybe intentional and not a kink?).
My bill will be in the mail for proofreading services. :-) Btw, Miss P.I., the "About me" summary is priceless; very original!
