This is something I’ve been wanting to show you — the tram. I think the best way for visitors to see HK is to take a tram ride, the longest route runs from one end of the HK island to the other end, taking about 1.5 hour and Euro 0.2/US$0.3 
The great thing is that it takes you through some distinctively different areas of HK and give you a good overview of what the city is like.
If you have something similar in your city, do let me know, it will be useful when I visit

We saw an interesting French film last night called “La Moustache.” Quite a bit of it was filmed in HK, and I recognized many scenes from your photos, esp. those of the ferry.

The “City Sights” bus tours take you through the Brisbane CBD, Southbank area, Chinatown, Spring Hill and Milton. You’ll stop at historical and cultural tourist attractions along the way for AUD$22. I think there is also a night one.
In New York, New York Sightseeing has 3 hop on/hop off buses (I think one is open top) that goes on the Uptown loop, Downtown loop and the Brooklyn loop from AUD$66.44
In Paris, L-Open Hop on/hop off tours have 4 routes, 1 takes 2 hours, the rest take 1 hour and these start from AUD$44.79.
I still think the best way to see a city is on foot.

very interesting - we have buses you can take to get a sense of the people that live in different parts of the island but then again, you might be waiting forever for buses and trying to figure out which bus stop to use and which bus to catch so never mind - just rent a car =D
